Hope persists

July 10, 2026April 27, 2026 by Diana Henderson

I’ve always been able to perceive the shadow, but thankfully I can also see the light. I grieve much in these dark times, yet hope persists. I’m grateful for the magic of Tolkien’s words in such an age as this.

"The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places, but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater. —J.R.R. Tolkien
